Gifting Gifts that Teachers Love

I just finished up my 12th year of teaching. This is also the first year I have had my own child in school. When talking to other teachers and viewing other blog posts, I have found several things that are considered THE BEST GIFTS!

While gifts are certainly NOT EXPECTED, the gesture is appreciated. Sometimes it is the simplest things that make the most impact!

What Do Teachers Love? Give the best gifts!

  • Their favorite drink
    • Send in a bottle of pop or a warm coffee that you picked up on the way to school! A little gesture like this can make someones day!
  • Their favorite treat
    • Send in a candy bar or a bag of their favorite salty snacks! Look at this CUTE IDEA!!
  • A nice, spill proof water bottle– like this!
    • One of my favorite gifts ever was a gigantic insulated cup! I will always remember the kiddo who gave it to me!
  • An insulated tumbler with a lid– I personally love this one!
    • Not all teachers drink coffee so this is something that will be appreciated and used for other drinks!
  • Pens– find out or notice what kinds of pens they use and get them a pack! This is always a big hit!!
  • Gift cards– no matter the amount, they are always a hit!
  • A thank you note– from you as the parent or the student. Sometimes your words are the best thing you can give a teacher.
  • Lunch– Ask your child’s teacher what they like. Place the order or pick up lunch for them and deliver it to school!
  • Wine! Have you seen the cute labels?! I’ve never gotten wine but I would love it!

What are we gifting?

  • Amazon gift cards! Who doesn’t like Amazon? You can buy basically anything!
    • And here are some cute labels!!
  • Foam ornaments- created by my daughter
  • Handwritten thank you notes

Find a teacher gift survey below! Send this to school with your child and have their teacher fill it out. This will give you an idea of what they like!
